AdTech & MarTech Executive Search
Executive search for THE attention ECONOMY
Adtech is a market where the rules change from outside, and usually without warning.
A browser deprecates a tracking method. A platform changes its terms. A regulator arrives. None of it is in anyone's roadmap, and each one can remove a revenue line that took years to build. Companies here do not fail because a competitor out-executed them; they fail because the ground moved and the leadership team was built for the old terrain.
That changes what you hire for. Depth in a discipline matters less than whether someone has been through a discontinuity before and rebuilt on the other side. A product leader who has only ever optimised an existing model is the wrong bet in a market that periodically invalidates the model.
The talent pool is also unusually quantitative for a marketing-adjacent industry. Pricing an impression, matching supply to demand, and measuring whether an ad worked are all data problems, and the leaders who last tend to come from that side rather than from brand.
We look for people who have watched a revenue line disappear and built the next one.
