MoonPay is the layer that turns a card payment into a token, embedded in hundreds of wallets, exchanges and marketplaces. The product problem is entirely about simplicity, because the moment it gets complicated the customer leaves.

Pay-in and pay-out are two businesses wearing one name.

Taking money in is a conversion problem: every extra step loses a customer who was already willing. Paying money out is a trust and compliance problem, in every market separately, where the cost of being wrong is not a lost sale. One leader owning both has to hold two opposing instincts at once.

We looked for someone who had run payments globally rather than in one market, because the second market is where the assumptions from the first one break.
