Marketing to someone making a decision they will make once.
Most marketing leaders build a funnel and improve it with volume. A mortgage buyer enters the category, transacts, and leaves for a decade. There is no cohort to learn from in any useful timeframe, and no second campaign to the same person.
We look for marketers who have built trust at scale rather than demand at scale. In categories this consequential, the two are not the same job, and the second one is far more common on a résumé.
